Brief Answer:
Too early to test for pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Since you have been having regular intercourse throughout your fertile period, the chances of conception are very good. Yet, it is too early to test through urine pregnancy test. HPTs read well 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine.

Assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres can be done after day 21 of the cycle to confirm/exclude pregnancy as this is the earliest and most sensitive way. The earliest way to detect pregnancy is to take basal body temperature right from day one of the cycle; the mid-cycle surge after ovulation persists if conception occurs.

The pains that you are experiencing are probably secondary to ovulation and tubal propulsion.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
