Brief Answer:
Recombinant human erythropoietin therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Chronic anemia is a common complication in patients with multiple myeloma.

The most frequent cause of chronic anaemia in multiple myeloma is relative erythropoietin (EPO) deficiency and myelosuppressive effects of chemotherapy.

I will advise you to get treated with recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) which is biologically equivalent to the human endogenous hormone EPO and its application leads to an increase of hemoglobin levels over an extended time without the risks of blood transfusions.

Treatment with recombinant human erythropoietin will significantly improve erythropoiesis, reduce transfusion need and improved your quality of life.

Discuss this with your treating physician.

Brief Answer:
Human recombinant erythropoietin therapy increases the number of red blood cell

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The cause of your chronic anaemia is due to erythropoietin (EPO) deficiency which is a a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the kidney in the adult and by the liver which acts on stem cells of the bone marrow to stimulate red blood cell production.

It could also be due to after effects of chemotherapy called myelosuppression which is a a condition in which bone marrow activity is decreased, resulting in fewer red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

I will advise you to get treated with Human recombinant erythropoietin (HRE) for your chronic anaemia which is a hormone which is administered when you are not producing enough erythropoietin on your own.

HRE is used to supplement the body's production of the hormone to increase the number of red blood cells, allowing you to reach a healthier haemoglobin level and avoid complications associated with a low red blood cell count and anaemia.

Discuss recombinant human erythropoietin therapy with your treating physician.
