Visit the ER.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Considering the fact that you are having a chest pain a few times a day and that it is not getting relieved on metoprolol, it might be a good idea to visit the emergency room. An electrocardiogram (ECG) would help in clarifying if the pain is due to heart cause or due ot some other cause. The reason for palpitation should also be evident from the ECG.
