Brief Answer:
Yes it can happen in GERD

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). There is lots of literature that describes autonomic instability associated with GERD. Autonomic nervous system controls our many vital function of our body including heart rate and digestive system. So its normal for the pulse to increase and sometimes it may decrease also. So nothing to worry. What all you can do if that heart rate is bothering you take a betablocker like propranolol.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.

Brief Answer:
Take anatcid and Amitryptiline and get your heart and lungs checked

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back. The pain in upper abdomen and around left breast if not relieved with neksium and sucralfate may be due to cardiac or lungs or musculoskeltal. So I will advise you to visit your doctor who will examine you and advise accordingly. Meanwhile I will advise you to take antacid containing aluminium or magnesium salt along with oxetacaine like syp Ranidom-O (By Mankind), this I found very useful in my patients with GERD if pain is not relieved with proton pump inhibitor alone. Also to decrease the hypersenstivity to heartburns one can use tricyclic antidepressants like amitryptiline, this I found very useful in my patients with refractory GERD. I hope I have answered your query, if you don't have any further query, then rate the answer and close the discussion
