What Causes Calf Pain And Tinnitus After Travelling By Flight?

default
Posted on Mon, 4 Jul 2016
Question: I have had right calf pain since a two hour flight 7 days ago. I also am experiencing bubbling popping sensations in both calves and legs. I went to ER and they did a d-dimer test which came back negative. I am also low risk, no birth control, no family history and I am 25. They said I did not have DVT based on this.
However I have felt like my circulation has been funny for a while and have had heavy legs that get tired I sometimes get pain in my toes and they feel cold. I am concerned about it, especially DVT. Please help!

Brief Answer:
It can be due to prolong standing or vitamin deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. I can assure you that you are not having DVT. DVT is seen only in patient with coagulation factor problem and long bed ridden. It is not possible in young female with no predisposing factor. I think only cause of altered sensation in your feet can be following.
1.low calcium and vitamin D3
2.Low serum B 12
3.prolong standing
I would suggest you to get your serum D3 and Serum B12 examination. If there is low level of these then you need to take 1000 mg calcium daily for three months and 60000 unit D 3 weekly for six weeks.
For B 12 deficiency you need to take B12 daily for one to three months.
Avoid prolong standing. It can cause varicose veins.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
