Stomach upset

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

The way your symptoms started and your description of them , it shows that you are having stomach upset, the reason can well range from a spicy big meal to mental stress, coffee, caffeine , smoking alcohol or any thing notorious to cause the problem.

I would here by suggest you management in two parts.
1) Short term.
2) Long term.

For now you can take Syrup Gaviscon 3 table spoons.
A cup of milk and avoid spicy food, have some walk and don't lie down flat.
For long term ,
There are certain measures you can take which will help you control your symptoms.

1) Avoid bitter sour food.
2) Avoid fizzy, sour, caffeinated drinks, , don't take tea or coffee at all.
3) Avoid smoking and alcohol if you use them.
4) Increase fibre content in your food strictly avoid junk, use whole wheat products , you can even use fibre supplements (organic ones)
5) Eat red and white meat less for some days.
6) Reduce weight if you have more weight than you should.
7) Don't fall asleep or lie down immediately after dinner. have a 15-20 mins walk.

Then we come to meds,

1) You can use antacids over the counter for quick relieve like syrup Gaviscon.
2) I would prescribe my patient with Omeprazole or any other PPI they really help.
3) Then my patients responded really well to prokinetics like motillium.
4) I would also ask my patients to take zantac in night if they took omerpazole in morning to add the effect.

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
There shouldn't be a problem if that happened 4-5 days back

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank for writing back , why do you think that you were poisoned? and why do you think that it's still in your system ? do you have any symptoms or something?

There is ToxScreen tests run in suspicion of a poisoning but if your are ok since last Wednesday it must not be a poison still you can discuss with your doctor if he thinks it will help you then he can order blood tests for you they will hopefully help you to know if there was actually a poisoning.

But it would definitely need a check-up before a test can be ordered and run on you to rate the risk and to streamline the possible poisons which can be there, a detailed history session will also be needed with your doctor to pinpoint suspected poisons involved.

I would suggest you not to worry and immediately contact your doctor and discuss your problem and concerns with him you can discuss running the test with him as well.

Till then drink loads and loads of water most poisons are eliminated through urine.

Stay blessed.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
