Brief Answer:
Appears to be UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Burning urination along with lower back pain and blood in the urine are classical symptoms of urinary tract infection. However, it is present altogether only in 30% of the cases. Urine microscopy can confirm the diagnosis.
2. Based on symptoms I would still say it is urinary tract infection - possibly bladder infection (which gives feeling of incomplete evacuation due to inflammation). If there is no prostate problem, then the symptom of incomplete evacuation should go away, once the UTI is treated.
3. Azithromycin is a good antibiotic. You need to continue and complete the course.
4. Also take good amounts of water (at least 5-6 liters of water per day) will reduce infection risk and also help in clearing the present infection. Also cranberry juice will be helpful.
5. If symptoms persist after 3 days, then culture and sensitivity of urine sample would be necessary to identify sensitive antibiotics. You will need to meet your doctor for this test.

Hope it helps.
