Brief Answer:
The bumps you are describing are called Fordyce Spots and are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and i hope I can help you today. Thank you for submitting the image of your labia- many patients extensively describe their bumps or lesions to me but without being able to do a physical examination myself, a photo is the next best thing.

The areas you are concerned about are spots called Fordyce spots, which are enlargement of the small sweat glands of the labia minora. All women have them to some extent, but in some people they are a few millimeters in size and in some they can be larger and easier to see. They usually are yellow to white, and should not itch, burn or cause any discomfort, and are mostly visible when you stretch the labia. They can get larger in hot weather or when your labia are irritated from something else. They are also found on the scrotum of men if you stretch and look at the skin closely.

So in summary, Fordyce spots are a completely normal finding and do not require treatment.

I hope i was able to adequately answer your question today. Please do not hesitate to contact me further if you have any other questions or issues.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
