Are you taking pills under guidance of any doctor or just randomly? There needs to be a gap of 5-7 days in between.

I take them under the guidance of my doctor. There was a week of placebo pills but i skipped over them and just moved onto the next pack of birth control
Brief Answer:
Take pills along with placebo
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You have not done the right thing by removing the placebos. There is something called biological rhythm which needs to be respected. Following this biological rhythm, there is supposed to be one period per month. When the hormonal support of the pills is withdrawn during the days of placebo, withdrawal bleeding occurs and is similar to the periods that occur normally. The placebos are iron pills and help in replenishing the iron stores of your body while they keep you on routine of taking one pill a day. Since you are continuously on the pills, the body is not getting scope to let the bleeding occur. As a result, the brownish spotting is occasionally occurring and is otherwise normal. It can be associated with some cramping and there is nothing abnormal in it.
