Brief Answer:
Brown discharge and the symptoms are due to depo injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

I have read your notes. I understand that you had chemical pregnancy two weeks ago and before you could start your period, you took Depo Provera injection.

Due to the effect of Progesterone in the injection, it is normal for your period to be delayed and also to have spotting/brown discharge and irregular bleeding. Don’t worry about it.

Your doctor would have diagnosed chemical pregnancy based on significantly decreasing pregnancy hormone levels. So there is no possibility of pregnancy. The progesterone in the Depo can cause some symptoms like dizziness, tiredness, weight gain, change in appetite etc which mimic early pregnancy symptoms. That is why you are feeling so.

I hope I have answered your concerns.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama

Brief Answer:
The symptoms and signs are due to the Depo injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
If your chemical pregnancy has been diagnosed correctly by following serial HCG levels, then there is no reason to worry.

As I said above the symptoms and signs are due to the injection.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama
