What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Taking Idoz 72?
Question: dear doctor my fiance and i had sex on 2nd of may and she took idoz72 as precautionary measure on 3rd of may(around 36 hrs later).from the last 2 days brown thick discharge is happening as well as she experiencing Headache as well as body ache....Today normal blood discharged similar to earlier period type but less in quantity.is she pregnant????

1) She will get more than 84% protection against unwanted pregnancy due to taking emergency pill (IDOZ 72) after 36 hrs of unprotected sex. Here, chance of pregnancy is LOW but it needs to be confirmed.
2) At present, she is getting withdrawal bleeding (similar to her period) due to effect of the emergency pill. It is quite common and natural phenomena. She would maintain her genital hygiene properly.
3) Most women get this type of bleeding after taking emergency pill. It generally stops automatically within 3 to 5 days and NO treatment is required.
4) Her next period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks from actual due date due to hormonal imbalance and associated mental stress. However, she must undergo one home pregnancy test if period delays more than 1 week. Early test is NOT significant.
