Question: i was diagnosed with bronchitis 2 days ago. i took an antibiotic and a cough medicine that was prescribed to me. of course i coughed a lot with the bronchitis. but i now have a very limited breath range and it hurts when i breathe in. i have a job that occasionally requires me to do strenous work and im worried about something happening if i overdo it. should i be concerned with this?

Brief Answer:
Rest, medicines and inhalations

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I suggest you not to do strenous work. Bronchitis can cause breathing difficulties however mild infection you have.
I suggest you to take rest, fluids, steam inhalations (if possible broncho dilating nebulizers) and course of antibiotics.
Rest at home and on bed would be useful and would definitely hasten the recovery fully. YOu can be functional in next 48 to 72 hours.
Besides viral bronchitis can spread to others so stay away from work where you exposed to dust, smoke, pollen that can aggravate.

Hope this helps.
