I had thyroid surgery 11 years ago and had a right thyroidectomy. My symptoms include shortness of breath fatique intolerable to heat and cold muscle aches and sometimes rapid heartbeat. Had a treadmill test and ultrasound for my heart and it was normal. I take .50mcg of synthroid once a day. Sent you my most recent thyroid test.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

I have seen you reports they are infact controlled within ideal range your thyroid profile couldn't have been better.

I would here like to mention that the symptoms you are telling are non specific.

Heat and cold intolerance together means general loss of tolerance... one can't have heat and cold intolerance due to thyroid issues at the same time..this is not possible.

Rapid heart beat can be because of any other reason this can be a normal reaponse to exertion, low water intake, anxiety , fever, stress, pain or anything. It might also be due to higher level to thyroxin(temporarily) when you have just taken the synthroid pill.

Lethargy can be because of generalized weakness.

I would suggest you to take Calcium and Vitamin D supplement. And multivitamin like centrum or any other good brand this with time will help you regain your strehth.

It's a great new that your heart came out normal it means you can easily get involved in regular physical activity that will help you rebuild your health and body strength. To me it is not because of thyroid but as your have this issue so it is obvious that thyroid is the first thing that comes to your mind.

I am quite positive thay my suggestions will help you in the long run.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.

Regrads.

Thank you so much. I will stop thinking that my symptoms are caused by something wrong with my thyroid. Low water intake and stress stand out as possible causes, I will take your suggestions seriously and see how it works out.
