Brief Answer:
related to diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Bifiloc is a pro biotic and it changes the intestinal bacteria and replaces bad bacteria with good bacteria and cause sreduced stool frequency.
The problem is more related to diabetes. Plyllium will increase stool bulk and cause complete evacuation and will help with the enhanced gastro colic reflex( passing stools after meals.
In case this doesn't help the next step would be to use rifaximin and try to stop ganaton if possible as ganaton can cause increased GI motility

Brief Answer:
ruifaximin can be given

Detailed Answer:
Rifaximin is not absorbed from the intestine < 1 percent is absorbed. So shouldn't pose a problem with renal failure. Nor dose reduction is recommended in renal failure.

Brief Answer:
Stage B (Child Classification) Cirrhosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have seen the reports you have uploaded and reviewed the medications list.
Bifilic lactihep and rifagut will help control the ammonia levels and prevent the recurrence of hepatic encephalopathy ( Drowsiness ).
Ganaton Total is for nausea abdominal bloat and can be discontinued when these symptoms subside.
Hepacure sachets can be discontinued as they do not have a major role in liver disease
If fitovit is a multivitamin it can be discontinued as cobadex is also a multivitamin
Your father Has Grade B Cirrhosis. Survival in b stage is 50 % at 5 years which means that half of the people with Stage B do not survive beyond 5 years.

Hello, staging is done using albumin, bilirubin, prothrombin time and clinical features like presence of abdominal fluid and effects on brain due to ammonia.
The reports suggest that hepatitis B, C and HIV are negative. So the treatment will remain the same

Answered by Dr. Dr Samir Patil (15 hours later)
Brief Answer:
RIFAGUT 550 LACTIHEP 15 ML bifilac ONCE A DAY

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I use rifaximin in the dose of 550 mg twice a day. Bifilac is used once a day, dose can be increased to twic a day if required.
Lactihep should be started at a dose of 15 ml at bed time the aim is to have 1- two stools per day. In case there is constipation the dose can be increased to 30 ml at bed time and upto 3- 4 times a day.
Discuss about these options/doses with his treating doctor.
