Posted on Thu, 29 Oct 2015
Question: I have been having blurry vision and sometimes light headed. I have had my yearly physical everything checked out ok. I have been to a ENT doctor and. with through a battery of test including hearing and balance testing and everything checked out ok ,so then was referred to a neurologist and had an mri done which checked out ok and he thinks it is basilar migraine and prescribed Divalproex . I also have been to a ophthalmologist and they said my eyes were healthy .So I started thinking what else could be causing the symptoms and realized that the dermatologist said to use Desonide Lotion on my eyelids because she thought the dry skin on my eyelids were a symptom of my roscesa she treats me for. So can the desonide lotion be causing my blurry vision ? The symptoms started about
2 months after I started using the lotion on my eyelids

Brief Answer:
Desonide lotion not causing blurred vision and light headedness

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
Desonide lotion is a mild steroid and if used for prolonged duration it can be locally absorbed and lead to glaucoma which is characterised by painful eye due to raised intraocular pressure. Less likely it can cause cataract which is associated with decreased vision. Since you have already been to an ophthalmologist and your eye examination is normal so that means you are not having cataract or glaucoma and hence desonide is not responsible for blurred vision and light headedness.
I hope to have answered your query.
Wish you good luck.
