Question: My wife is 80 and taking ramipril, jipitor and baby aspirin. When I rub her legs with Lotion large blue blood spots appear on her legs like bruises. Do you think her medications might be responsible.

Brief Answer:
Not related to her medications!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these bruises that you have reported. While aspirin prevent blood from clotting easily, the bruise is as a result of drama from rubbing. You will need to be more gentle. If aspirin was the main cause of this, even without ribbing she would bleed. However, this is not the case. I recommend you be very gentle each time you apply lotion to her body because the tissues are a lot more fragile than before. This is not uncommon with aging.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
