default
Posted on Tue, 16 Aug 2016
Question: Hi ,
You answered a question for me . Since then I have had blood in my urine and what looks like sediment also . It looks like red granules . The urine is cloudy also. I went to the Emergency department of the hospital and I got a scan of my bladder and kidneys.
I was told my prostrate is enlarged and there was red cells in the urine. I was sent home with no treatment and have had more granules in my urine in the last few days . I'm at a loss what to do as I am not having any luck here getting help or treatment .

Brief Answer:
Abnormal Urine

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Sorry for the delayed reply...Bad hangover night

Well, Firstly enlarged prostate is not going to cause red cells in the urine. Red cells and cloudy urine indicates either an infection or inflammation going on in the kidneys..I am not sure why it has been ignored here..

Could you attach the report of the urine routine here...?? I do want to see what exactly the report is....If you had ask me, with red blood cells and casts in the urine and a normal ultrasound of the bladder and kidneys( no renal stones) and ANA positive, I would have gone for kidney biopsy to see what exactly is going wrong and how strong we need to treat...
