Brief Answer:
Not likely to be related with hysterectomy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Your hysterectomy was 2 years back, have you ever had such an episode since then ?
I do not think this is related to your hysterectomy, as it was 2 years back.
It is likely that you are having a urinary tract infection.
Also, after menopause, the vaginal tissues become dry and friable, called atrophic vaginitis.
That can lead to breakage and infection of the tissues easily, and also spotting and bleeding.
This is not an emergency, but yes, a check up is essential.
You should be having an internal exam by an oB -GYN to rule out atrophic vaginitis, a Pap smear and a pelvic ultrasound scan.
This can wait until Monday, no issues.
You can call up the lab and submit your urine for urine routine microscopy and urine culture testing - that will take care of the infection part.
MEanwhile you need to do nothing.
Just avoid sex till the workup is done.
All the best

This is my first episode. Also, lately I have difficulty sleeping at night. Is it hormonal imbalance due to menopause? The frequency of my urination right now is every 30 minutes or less and has solid blood.

Brief Answer:
you can wait until Monday

Detailed Answer:
You need to have the urine test as suggested.
Since the blood is only with the urine, you can wait until Monday.
If it was heavy bleeding, you could have gone to the ER.
YEs, the sleeping issues could be hormonal, or due to some recent stress or change in lifestyle
