What Causes Bleeding During Sex To Smell Bad While Taking Visanne For Endometriosis And Fibroids?
Question: I am taking Visanne for endometriosis and fibroids, I have been experiencing a lot of spotting or bleeding during sex. I’ve been taking Visanne for 4-5 weeks. Well, two days ago my spotting blood smelling like skunk or weed (I don’t use marijuana). And I have 3 large pimples/boils on my labia. What could be the issue? I don’t see gyno for 3 weeks.

I can understand your situation. Are you taking the tablet continuously or missed some days ?
Bleeding during sex along with boils around labia means, there could be some infection outside and inside.
A speculum examination to visualise inside vagina and cervix is a must..possibility of cervical causes esply infection has to be ruled out as you are having bleeding during sex.
The smell also could be because of infection.Taking empirical antimicrobial won't be safe as it won't solve your problem permananetly.
Hence I suggest you to consult a GYNAECOLOGIST at the earliest.

I am taking the pills everyday at roughly the same time. i have not missed one.
What type of infection would cause these symptoms? I forgot to mention my vulva looks puffy more so at the top and right side, and my ankles are puffy and feel heavy.
Also, might be noteworthy, my boyfriend has an exceptionally large penis and im quite small... not sure if that has any bearing on my situation.

Are you having any other medical problems.?
If there is swelling of both feet , then you defenetly need an early consultation.
It could be a bacterial , yeast or mixed vaginal infection causing smell and bleeding.
Considering your age it cannot be a tear of vagina or hymen because of large penis.
Is there any urinary symptoms?
