What Causes Backache And Heartburn With Missed Periods?

My name is XXXX....I and my husband are planning a baby and have been trying to conceive for last 2 months....I have already missed my period 4 days ago and have been experiencing backache, slight nausea and heartburn for last couple of days.....my periods have never been irregular and I have a 28/27 day cycle....however my home pregnancy test have been negative for last 2 instances....

As you stated that your cycles are very steady and you are trying for baby.
In my opinion you can wait for 3-4 days more for your period and repeat your pregnancy test after 3-4 days. (Sometimes conception might be detained).
Ideally home urine pregnancy test should be executed (with morning urine sample) 7 days after the missed period date to minimize false negative results.
If your pregnancy test will be negative, then you can corroborate it by blood beta HCG test. (It is more confirmatory).
If both will be negative you can take pills for withdrawal bleeding after consulting your treating doctor.
