Brief Answer:
Can be an infection or sweating.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The odor in vagina can be related to a vaginal infection- may or may not be associated with discharge or itching. Poor hygiene or tight fitting clothing or fabric that doesn’t breathe can cause sweat and bacteria to get trapped which can also cause an unpleasant odor.

Simply use soap and water to clean the outside of your vaginal area. Rinse well and pat-your-skin with a towel until it is dry before you put your underwear on. In case the odor persists then do consult a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab culture done to rule out an infection.

I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.
Regards,
