What Causes Acne Problem On Forehead?

Question: I am female age 23yrs married . I am suffering from acne problem only on forehead and leaving scars when it goes. mostly acne comes before period. please suggest ? I am afraid to put any kind of ointment as my face skin type is dry and sometimes doesn't suit all cream. I am attaching image of my acne condition. thanks

Brief Answer: Clinddamycin ointment wil help Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Dear Ms XXXXXXX The pimples which you are having are big papules. Scarring occurs when there is infection leading to fibrosis and scarring also known as pustular acne. As you mentioned your skin is dry and creams dont suite you, so application of any face wash or even soap like Acnelac(used for acne) will aggravate the dry skin problem. I would suggest you the following 1. Avoid oily food/chocolates/fried food/junk food 2. No make-up or cream application on face 3. No soaps/face washes I recommend you the following 1. Cetaphil cleansing lotion: Use it to wash your face as frequently as 6th horurly. It will not cause drying of the skin,its very mild and ill also remove oil traces 2. Once a week: VLCC cleansing milk. it will remove the dirt and blocked pores and will reduce the infection rate 3. Cleargel(clindamycin): Its an antibiotic. I would recommend local application only on that lesion and not all over the face. It will also not cause drying. thanks madam, I hope you viewed the image I have sent. At present I am using herbal product Jovees Neem face wash when I come from outside and before bed in night.. My face become sometimes dry and sometimes oily instead of totally dry as I mentioned earlier mistakenly. When to use CLEARGEL and how many times? At night before bed can be used? Madam, will this helpful in scars also ? Hope there is no side-effects using these medicines? Is there any test required? Please answer all my doubts after taking out your precious time as per your convenience. Thanks for your valuable answer.

Brief Answer: Cleargel is safe Detailed Answer: Namasthe I had already gone through your pictures of forehead. I would suggest you to stop face wash and try Cetaphil cleansing lotion. Its helpful for both dry and oily skin Cleargel is to be used thrice a day, applied individually over each lesion. It will definitely help in reducing the inflammation. Scarring will also decrease, application is recommended after bath in the morning, after after face wash and night before retiring to bed. It will not cause any major side effect. Slight buring sensation during first two application s common. No testing is required. Also would suggest you direct exposure to sunlight, wearing a hat will be helpful. Thanks madam, today i bought the medicines as u prescribed. As it is my last followup questn so want to clarify something. Please tell usage direction for lotion. can i wash my face after 2-3 hours of putting CLEARGEL? Can cetaphill be used on whole face for cleansing purpose other than effected area? As u told tht no face wash etc, so what can i use for face wash after comming from outside or normally in a day? Thanks a lot for your valuable reply. Hoping for positive results.

Brief Answer: Use Cetaphil exactly like face wash Detailed Answer: Dear Ms XXXXXXX Cetaphil can be used for the whole face and can exactly be used as face wash. Its very mild and does not have drying action . You can definitely wash the face 2-3 hours after applying Cleargel. Use Cetaphil as a complete replacement to your face wash.
