At 6 weeks of pregnancy, your OBGYN would be able to see a fetal sac. Generally it can be seen at 3 to 5 weeks.

If the ultrasound lady did a transvaginal ultrasound and was able to see a fetal pole, then, most probably the sac is under way. But needs to time to verify through an abdominal ultrasound.

To make sure you are really pregnant and the right pregnancy age, I advise to measure the beta HCG in the blood.

Now, I was going through it and can say as following:
- if the doc did not notice a fetal sac through an abdominal ultrasound, this was because your pregnancy age is younger than you know (around 5 weeks). This also explains why your OBGYN asked to come in a week time to confirm pregnancy.
- SIUP = single intrauterine pregnancy (meaning that the sacus is located inside your uterus and not outside)
- the lady there was also able to see the fetal sac together with hearing of fetal heart beats although she has not written down the rate. Measuring blood beta hcg will help identify the right fetal age.

Anyway, hope you are ok with no more bleeding now, and follow up with your OBGYN to understand why you had bleeding and if you are at risk for miscarriage.
