After that my ekg was abnormal so we stopped what does this mean

Brief Answer:
Good prognosis for next 5 years.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Exercise stress testing, which is now widely available at a relatively low cost, is currently used most frequently to estimate prognosis and determine functional capacity, to assess the probability and extent of coronary disease, and to assess the effects of therapy. Ancillary techniques, such as metabolic gas analysis, radionuclide imaging (see the images below), and echocardiography, can provide further information that may be needed in selected patients, such as those with moderate or prior risk. but as your stress test was fine till 10 minutes , it means your prognosis is good for next five years. It means to odds fo ischemic heart disease are less.

had it been in bad condition, you would have succumbed with in 2 or 3 minutes and ekg should have changed.

In nutshell these tests are done to check the perfusion of the heart and ability of heart to combat the stress in guise of ischemia and shock etc.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
