What Causes Abnormal Menstruation, Dizziness, Frequent Urination, Headaches And Back Pain?

Question: I got my *period* 3 days late on March 15. It only lasted 2 days. I didn't think anything big of it, although it was a little strange because I'm on the pills and my period comes the same exact day, sometimes the next day during the last row of my pills package. Well, the only reason for me questioning pregnancy is because all of a sudden I became dizzy and lightheaded at work this week and I almost fainted so I sat down. Everything seemed to be spinning and my head was hurting so bad. Shortly after I felt a little better, but I just knew if I grabbed something salty I would feel better so I bought some salt and vinegar chips and began to feel better. Since that I cannot stand for my pants to be on my tummy, frequent urination, headaches, back pain which I equated to physical therapy which I'm currently doing for my shoulder, tiredness, hard time focusing at work, etc. I just want to sleep. I also wanted sushi for the past few days and couldn't resist anymore so I grabbed some. I'm not a fan of sushi by the way. I really wanted to enjoy the rides at Disney this summer ;-). With these symptoms I'm not sure :-(. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago which is negative of course. My period is not due until around April 9th or 10th. This is my fourth pregnancy if that helps. Should I be having symptoms this soon if I am pregnant and just took the test too early?

Brief Answer:
unlikely that you may be pregnant. get a beta hcg test done

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query,

If you have been continuously and regularly on the birth control pills then you are unlikely to be pregnant as ovulation is prevented with the pills on regular intake and pregnancy is not a possibility then. However if one needs to confirm pregnancy for sure then a serum beta hcg test should be done , which if positive then confirms pregnancy positively else you are pregnancy safe and the symptoms are more likely to be due to progesterone withdrawal and PMS like , delayed because of stress and likely that you may resume your bleeding again in next few days.

Detailed Answer:
In that case there must have been an irregularity in the timing of pill consumption during those instances which would have allowed the ovulation. Nevertheless even though the urine pregnancy test is negative for you, as its just 3 days delay, it is best advised that you undertake the blood serum beta hcg test to check for hcg levels. If the levels of hcg are more than 1 or raised, then you are pregnant else if less than 1 , pregnancy is ruled out.
A urine pregnancy test can turn positive once the hcg levels are at least 1500IU.
And yes if pregnant , then the symptoms can start after 10 days of fertilizaton .
