default
Posted on Sat, 8 Apr 2017
Question: I was experiencing low bleeding (brownish blood) during 1 to 5th day of my period then heavy flow on 6th nd 7th day. Is this normal? I had an abortion done in april 2015, then I got married to the same person who I had my first pregnancy with. since then my cycles have changed. I get my period on time every month its just my bleeding patterns have changed.I am trying to conceive since January 2017 I consulted doctors , they all told me its hormonal imbalance. Its just I wanted this problem to get diagnosed as my bleeding is about 10 day long(light bleeding throughout ,heavy bleeding 2 days thats 6th and 7th day). Now I skipped a month (Last period date- 30/01/17) I have LO 2.1 cyst ET 1.3 My doctor gave me primolut N for 7 days.doctor asked me to undergo FSH,LH,prolactin,T3,T4,TSH tests. Will the medication primolut n affect my tests? Will I be able to conceive?

Brief Answer:
Madam, may be its AUB-Abnormal Uterine Bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.Welcome to healthcaremagic and thanks for trusting us for your health related query.
I have gone through the prescription details and tried to understand your information shared with us.
I guess, your concern is about abnormal bleeding and whether are you able to conceive
Well,we shall discuss step by step.
Firstly, about your mense issue. In the first few days you are getting low bleeding followed by heavy bleeding, these features seems to be due to Abnormal Uterine Bleeding. As your treating doctor has told that due to hormonal imbalance your mense pattern has changed, its right. Not to worry,it can be managed.Lets wait for the reports of the tests advised by your doctor and look for what all hormonal imbalance are causing this AUB.

Secondly,about conceiving.
Difficulty in getting pregnant is called infertility and it is because of either problem in husband or wife or both. You have mentioned that your are 27 years old and i assume your husband too is near or in and around your age.So,50% problem solved.

Lets focus on age on women.Women between 18-42 years are called as reproductive age group, here the chances of getting pregnant are very high, and >50 years, the chances of pregnancy are nil. From 42-45 years, its transition zone, chances are not as nil as 50 years and not as high as reproductive age group.

You have told you are 27 years old!!!!!This solves another 25%.I hope you understood the importance of me stressing the age group.
So,75% problem has solved out...

This indicates once the cause for your mense problem is detected to can get conceived.

Lastly,i would like to focus you on the term-FERTILE PERIOD'.It starts from 10th-16th day of mense cycle. Here ovum is released into uterus and high chances of meeting with sperm, making woman pregnant.Hence, called fertile period.
But,as your mense is altered its difficult to estimate this fertile period. So,once your mense problem is solved you can try this formula.

With small discussion you can try out my suggestions-
1.Be optimist.
2.Try to do sex at least twice in day during the golden period-fertile period.
3.Continue the advice given by your treating doctor.
4.If there is no result in next year, there comes the importance of 21st century's technology-ART. Assisted Reproductive Technology.(but not necessary in your case, just to inform you that you can become pregnant with artificial methods also)

Brief Answer:
primolut n will affect

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
The medicine primolut N will affect FSH,LH and prolactin but not T3,T4, and TSH.
And usually we advice to get tests done on 3rd day of mense cycle.
