What Causes A Young Man To Dress Up Like A Woman?
Question: My grandson XXXXXXX is 21 years old and weighs 300 pounds - I know he is depressed, is living with his mother and her new husband in Ga. his father is here in Va. XXXXXXX feels he is more like a woman and a few years back lived with a lady who let him dress like that. I feel he's still a young man, has no friends, will be comig to his only brothers' wedding up here and I think people will be shocked to see him , he does have a parttime job at CBS but either works, sleeps or eats- his mother (my daughter) gave him the whole upstairs but no one is helping him * what can be done - I love him so much and feel he needs professional help - what can be done? is there someone out there that could talk with him - such a sweet wonderful person

This is called transvestitism, or perhaps transgenderism, and has been accepted as something people are born with and cannot and should not be changed. You can help him by being accepting of this part of him and showing him love and support.
If he is depressed, which may be the case, he should see a psychiatrist who can prescribe an antidepressant such as Zoloft, Lexapro, or Prozac. He can also participate in therapy with a psychiatrist who can help him talk through the difficulties he is experiencing, including the stigma often associated with transvestite or transgendered individuals.

don't know is this is real but if true would take a lot of money to make this long change or long just to find out his real self and I don't have money to help nor does his parents - what a shame if he falls through the cracks - I love him so much but am a widow - my wonderful husband has been dead for nineteen years, not sure XXXXXXX would talk with anyone and that scares me as I lost a friend one month ago ,she committed suicide by shooting herself in the chest and I found her, such a good friend but BiPolar - does insurance cover this?
