Question: I recently had a sudden red splotch on one eye and it went away, not both eyes are cloudy and my vision is not clear. I also have a very infected gum/jaw bone exposed which has caused a sore throat and ear ache. Can these be related?

Brief Answer:
Ophthalmologist review will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

Based on the history you have shared, it is quite possible that both these infections can be related as splash led to infection in the ears too. If it was contaminated then it can also cause conjunctivitis or other soft tissue inflammation inside the eyes as well. Cloudy vision is also raising the same suspicion.

Apart from that; even if it wasn't caused by that splash, such cloudiness of vision shouldn't be ignored in any case and needs a detailed eye examination by an Eye specialist. Meanwhile you can use OTC analgesics like acetaminophen for pain and anti histamines like Cetirizine 10 mg once daily for itching.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
Regards.
