What Causes A Bad Odor From The Vagina?
Question: Recently I have began getting a rotten meat smell from my vagina during my period and a few days afterwards. I don't have any pain or other symptoms . What could be causing this. I am 51 and my periods are still very regular.

It usually occurs when there is a lesion on the mouth of uterus (called as cervix) or if there is a polyp from uterus getting sloughed.
In my opinion visit a gynecologist and get yourself examined.
Till then clean your perineal area with perineal hygiene wash daily after bath and wear a cotton based undergarment always.
And get an ultrasound also to be on safer side.
