Question: If someone has a nervous breakdown after having both physical and psychological maltreatment by an organized group of people and seeks diagnosis and treatment but what the person says is treated as delusion and paranoia instead of a byproduct of severe abuse, what effect might this have on a person's critical thinking skills and ability to respond with proper reaction or course of action to seek assistance?

If a person with psychological or physical trauma do not get proper support at hour of need, he may develop other consequences of trauma. One such consequence is post traumatic stress disorder.

Regarding critical thinking skills it is prudent to mention that they will be affected adversely. It is not possible for me to mention specifically but I have seen people with poor support during trauma and thereafter develop depression and poor stream of thoughts.

Regarding course of action you need to use most dear and near ones as they are the one who are invested in your will being.
