Question: Hello, i am a 49 year old woman with a history of cancer proceeding from 2006. 2012 I had a hysterectomy and have suffered from occasional thrush symptoms, perhaps three times a year. This year I had a bladder infection which was treated, but then i went on to suffer symptoms of thrush. The vulva and surrounding labia was swollen and red rashes (not itchy/tingling/or weeping) appeared around the vaginal area (almost like a dermatitis yet not irritable in the least). The skin region above my vagina split, my doctor took swabs and assured me it was thrush. I was treated with antibiotics and creams. Although the vaginal area is no longer swollen, the rashes although slowly disappearing are still there. Additionally I have begun to grow small skin lesions where the skin originally split above the vagina. I have arranged to see the doctor again next week. The legions are not painful/itchy/weeping/bleeding or uncomfortable. They are just unwelcome visitors. Why would this be happening, what should I get my doctor to test for, will these legions go on there own, is there treatments natural or medical I can use to diminish these skin legions. Could this be an early stage of vaginal cancer, I have no cervix/womb and get smears yearly. Any advise would be most greatful. Many thanks for your wisdom, Simone.

Hello Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX attached is a photo of the skin above the vagina where it originally split and another to show the rash? which developed but seems to be slowly dissipating.
I hope you can help me understand what is occurring. I have been with the same sexual partner for 10mths and prior to that 32years. My current partner was with his sexual partner for 6years

i have attached another photo, hopefully clearer and i feel they have grown quickly in one week from being small bumpy nodules

i have explored this option and do not understand had my recent partner given me this virus why did i not show symptoms sooner?? the fact these lesions are not weeping, itchy, bleeding, and have only appeared where my skin split makes no sense. I've been with my current partner for 10months, why would these lesions only appear now?? however, should this be the case, what treatments would you recommend, what should I ask my partner?? Naturally I am feeling uneasy.
