This course is of 3 days in all, where 600mg of mifepristone has to be taken stat followed by 2 tabs of 200mg=400mg of misoprostol after 48 hrs to be taken . The bleeding generally starts after 4-6 hrs of intake of misoprostol.
Abortion is generall completed by next 24-36 hrs but the bleeding can last till 4-5 days in all. Once the bleeding stops , then you should get a transvaginal ultrasound done to check for completion of abortion.
