What Are The Side Effects Of Frequent Use Of I-pill?
Question: hi doctor, i m 21 yrz old, i have been sexually active since d past 4yrz, now v use condoms , but earlier v didnt n i hv consumed 58-60 i pills simce d past 4yrz, i experience pain while having sex, have neva been pregnant n now aftr evry week m experiencing periods for a minimum of 4days. can u plz tell me d reason behind this, plus i usually end up with uti infection also on regular basis. Doctor please help me out.

First, repeated use of emergency pills results in hormonal disturbances, your repeated bleeding could be due to hormonal variations. Better to avoid emergency pill in future and use other methods. I usually prescribe 21 days pill , which should be taken regularly.
Once your hormonal levels becomes regular , bleeding will get regularised.
Repeated UTI , get your urine test done and ultrasound to check for any stones. Need to take complete course of antibiotics and after the course need to confirm with urine test for adequate treatment . Have lot of fluid and maintain good hygiene.
Pain while inter course is could be from infection
Better you get examined by your doctor and get PAP test done

Thanku doctor, for your advice. It really helped a lot. I just wanted to confirm, if you found any symptoms of me being pregnant. Also i would like to bring you in notice, that i recently had intercouse using a condom, i experienced gastric trouble and den a little bleeding, it did nt bleed for next few hours, dr was just normal mucus secretion, until night wen i got periods. Also before this, recently i had sex without a condom twice, for one i took the i pill, the other i forgot to, but since myperiods are occuring after evry 5-7days, i thought i m nt pregnant. Plus ryt now i have uti and periods both. Do u think i hv d chances of bng pregnant? I have become hell lazy, i have back ache n head ache, i tend to sleep more, but i am very lean, 35kgs only.

Thank you for relieving me from the stress of being pregnant, i ll get the tests done and revert back to you. Pregnancy test cant be done during periods, if i m ryt? So i ll do it now or shud i do it after my periods? Also i due to curosity i googled a lot, and got to know various terms like polymennrohoea n stuffs dat scared me i hope dr z nothing serious?
