Question: Hello , i gave 9ml of colic aid to my 28 month baby... I am worried if i have given him overdose...please help me

The usual dose for this age is 1.5-2 ml.Although the colic aid has no major side effects.But as it works by releasing the gas,reducing the spasm and increasing the intestinal motility,there can be loose motions.
Any medication can cause adverse symptoms when taken in a toxic dose.The colic aid is a very safe drug and toxicity is not yet seen.The toxicity also depends on the individual's metabolism and can vary from person to person.
Be watchful for any adverse reaction like breathing difficulty,abnormal movement or excessive irritability.
The chances of adverse reactions are very less.Even then I would suggest you to contact your pediatrician to be on safer side.
