What Are The Repercussions Of Taking HRIG And Rabies Vaccination Together?
Question: Dear Doctor,
Just to be sure and based on earlier questions.
I was scratched by a cat (small puncture wound, like really small, but was bleeding and in Egypt somewhere). Washed the wound a bit with water and soap, don't know exactly what is the right way, but I did it.
The vaccination went a bit wrong.
I received my first vaccination the same day but the HRIG (few days later) was administered at the wrong place.
A doctor had advised me to start over with the vaccination (only the vaccination in this case) and to forget the first dose (because due to the HRIG at wrong place sort of).
So:
Day 0: Scratch And Later First Dose Vaccine
Day 2: HRIG wrong place
Day 3 (became) --> Day 0: First Dose Again
Day 3 (Today already did): Second Dose Vaccine
Next time will be Day 7 (Then 14 and some time later 28)
This cannot hurt right or am I taking too much vaccination right now??
