Brief Answer:
About glutathione

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I have read your query
I will try to answer you as lucidly as possible
And in as simple a language as possible.

First, why glutathione-

Glutathione comes under the group antioxidant. It therefore prevents damage to cells by acting on reactive oxygen species. It can be reutilized in the body. Glutathione however is not an essential nutrient. It can be produced in the body from the existing nutrients in the food. All the human cells synthesize glutathione espeacially in the presence of an liver enzymes.

Glutathione has multiple functions:
1. It is an important antioxidant made by the body cells
2. Controls the nitrogen and protein cycles AND many other basic cell processes like DNA synthesis and repair, etc
3. It boosts the systems of the body including immunity, nervous system, gastrointestinal system and the lungs.
4. It is important in iron metabolism.

To answer your specific queries after that brief detail about glutathione, yes the market has the supplement available. Many online sites also have them available.

As for glutathione helping your mother, it is still somewhat new in the market. t would help the conditions in your mothers case for sure. However the renal clearance of these supplements is not yet clear. Therefore I would suggest you meet your nephrologist before starting the supplement.

Best of luck
