Question: I am on metformin 500SR at breakfast and Janumet 500/50 at dinner. I do regular exercise like walking for 1 hr daily and some light exercise in the morning. I take breakfast like puri, dosa, idli and fruits like apple and papaya. Lunch 2 rotis a bit of rice and vegetables. Dinner 2 rotis with dal and vegetables. take fish and chicken 4 times in a week. But my BS fasting never seems to come down below 115 and PP always between 155-175 going up to 205 once in a while. I am trying very hard to bring it down to normal level but nothing seems to work. Brief Answer:
SUB OPTIMAL DOSE OF Sitagliptin

Detailed Answer:
Good day Mr XXXXXXX
Welcome to health care magic. Noted your concern . You seems to be taking Suboptimal dose of Sitagliptin. Janumet contains Metformin and Sitagliptin. The optimal dose is 50/1000 two times a day. Avoid Metformin SR in the morning and start Janumet 50/1000 two times a day.
I would like to know your height and weight as well.

Binu
