Suggest Treatment For Wheezing And Cough

Question: hi, i suffer from mild asthma. my pulmonologist had prescribed
Seroflow 125 inhalaer 2 puffs twice daily as a preventive medicine. this i have taking for the last 2 months. For the past 4 days i am having wheezing and lot of cough throughout the day. for which i am taking Levolin inhaler 4 hourly. but the cough is worsening. can you pls prescribe a medicine to reduce cough.

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query on HCM. After going through your query, I would like to comment the following:

1. You seem to be currently suffering from Bronchial asthma with secondary infection.

2. You should get yourself evaluated by Pulmonologits/ Physician at the earliest.

3. Clinical vealuation and investigations are required. Investigations include - Chest Xray, Peak flow reading, Sputum examination and blood counts.

4. Currently you require to step up your treatment as follows:
a. Seroflo inhaler 125 2 buffs twice daily and levolin 2 hourly.
The following medications may be required after clinical evaluation and consultation with your doctor:
b. Oral bronchodilator eg. tb ABFLO 100 mg twice daily, antihistaminics, if there is associated cold (eg. (Allegra M to be taken at night time) and Azeflo nasal spray twice daily) and antibiotics eg. (Tb zifi cv 200 mg at night x 10 days) may be required as per your symptoms.

Please get yourself clinicaly evaluated by a doctor before starting any medications as mentioned in "b".
