Brief Answer:
Can be due to diabetic autonomic neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to diabetic complications like autonomic neuropathy but good thing is that for quite some time your diabetes is fairly controlled. Which makes evaluation of other causes mandatory.

Other possible causes can be micronutrients or vitamin defficiencies and replacement of B12, D3 and folic acid alongwith calcium and zinc may be started to have some symptomatic benefits.

Though neuropathy in diabetes is reversible with sustained diabetic control but it may take some time to reverse completely. And thus better control and strict follow up should be continued.

Also at times with aging, stress or over thinking may also lead to decreased erection. One method to help with that is to have councelling sessions with sexual psychotherapists which an help the concentration and motivational therapies which can boost the confidence and lead to sustained erection. Also the need for foreplay and it's role to increase sexual experience can be adopted.

Using sildenifil meanwhile alongwith lisinopril can lead to severe hypotension or strain at heart si should be used with extreme caution and at advise of cardiologists.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.

Hi, thank you for your answer! So you think this is reversible in time is there anything I can do to help with recovery, will stopping masturbation help. Also do you think daily Cialis might make a difference as well as the vitamins you mentioned, I'm currently taking arginine citrus line pycnogenol and ginseng, are there any tests to check nerve function and blood flow to the penis.

Brief Answer:
This can be reversible and no need for such extensive testing

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing the feedback. Yes it can be reversible. Though leaving masturbation doesn't show scientifically to be of much benefit as masturbation hasn't been shown to cause erectile dysfunction. Using cialis and vitamins can help though using the supplements that you have mentioned have no scientific data to prove their safety profile as well as their efficacy. And as far as these tests are concerned, these are done in cases of nerve damage or absolutely diminished erection and decrease on erection can't be due to nerve damages. Regards.
