Question: Have rec'd a large number of what I believe to be oak mite bites around the neck and upper body area. What can I do to reduce the itching and educe the pumps and redness?

Hi
Thanks for the query. You might have developed urticaria. It is an allergic condition and requires prolonged treatment with anti histamines.

The main solution is to keep yourself away from insects and mites, this can be done by wearing full sleeves clothes, applying mosquito repellant and use of net at night time.

You have to take tab levocetrizine 5 mg daily at night time so that u dont scratch the lesions as it will increase the dermatitis.

Apply topical mometasone cream over the lesions twice daily for 3 weeks.
Can you please upload a close up photograph of the affected area.
