Brief Answer:
Upper respiratory tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Cough with post nasal drip indicates you have an upper respiratory infection. Here is how you should go about it

1. Tab Fexofenadine twice daily for 5 days, it will settle down the cough and cold
2. Steam inhalations three times a day
3. Tab Paracetamol/Acetaminophen three times a day for the chest pain
4. Since you do not have fever I would not want to start antibiotics right away
5. Avoid smoking
6. Make sure you have warm food and beverages, avoid cold food and beverages until you are better
7. Take adequate rest

Shortness of breath when you cough is because you are having cold and chest pain is very common when someone has cough

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I take Zyflo CR 600 for my asthma, so Fexofenadine may be too much allergy medicines , no ?
I also take Veramist and Symbicort.

Thanks for getting back

What exactly do mean by 'too much allergy' medicine? Another alternative to Fexofenadine would be tab levocetrizine twice daily.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Zileuton is a leukotriene inhibitor, but one gets common cold anti histaminic is more apt. So it is true that Zyflo is an anti allergy medication but it is more useful in asthma
