Question: I have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (3years) I take Imuran (75g) Pentasa granules (3g) ans Budenofalk

Brief Answer:
Needs management and surgical consideration

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Ulcerative colitis may be resilient some times and can lead to trouble and non remission despite the medical therapy. You have XXXXXXX using imuran. aminosalicylates etc. Other options you can discuss with your doctor are cyclosporine, infliximab, adalimumab, golimumab, vedolizumab, Along with it antibiotics, pain medications, corticosteroids, antidiarrheals and iron supplements must be continued.

If the above mentioned medications and diet and lifestyle modifications fail then next step is surgery where surgeon have to take your colon out and path your small intestine with anus and create a J shaped pouch to make the feces relatively normal and no need for feces bags tied unlike other surgeries.

Talk to your doctor and let them decide what is best for you. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
