Suggest Treatment For Torn ACL

Question: Hi in 2011 i met accident while riding my bike & as per MRI report i lost my ACL of right knee and doctors told me for surgery but one of famous Dr XXXXXXX in Varanasi told me that till the time there's no critical symptom i need not go with surgery and after treatment & physiotherepy i feel improvment in my walk & after 6 months i again visited my doctor and had 2nd MRI in which it shows ligament tissues are joining backside and post that i am fine i can walk run but slow, can't jump from hights due to fear but i can bend easly my fear is- as per few doctors it is important to operate & to get ACL i need surgery is it important ? what you will suggest on this

It is not necessary to go for surgery to everyone who had tore his ACL. At present there are no evidence-based arguments to recommend a surgical reconstruction to any patient who tore his ACL. Knee stability can be improved not only by surgery but also by neuromuscular rehabilitation.

So do not worry and follow the instructions as given by your treating doctor.

sir can i do Quadriceps & hamstring workout with light weight as am reguler visitor of GYM, hope it will not damage/impact on my knee
