Brief Answer:
Please get throat swab done

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Please try to meet your ent doctor and ask him to take a throat swab for culturing the organism causing tonsilitis in your child. Since there are many antibiotics available in the market including cefixime , levofloxacin etc , but the correct antibiotic can be given only after finding the micro organism causing the infection.

Azithromycin is a good drug and she has already taken 15 days of antibiotic and still not responding , then i would strongly advice you to stop taking it and meet your doctor for further tests.

your doctor will also ask you to do blood tests including total and differential blood count to see the extent of infection in your child.

Meanwhile please ask her to avoid cold and spicy food and gargle with warm salt water 2-3 times a day.

Take care
