Question: I have been hearing a snapping noise inside my head. It sounds like if you would fold a leather belt in half and popping it together...very distracting and irritating

Brief Answer:
Tinnitus

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. This snapping sound like a folded leather popping together id likely tinnitus , an inner ear pathology sequelae most likely due to dehydration, age related hearing loss and side effect of medication for blood pressure could cause it. Get an otorhinolaryngologist, let them sort out other differentials and confirm this tinnitus as diagnosis, management will be then tailored accordingly.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
