Question: I have had neck and shoulder injury for many years after a fall into our basement and lately it has been really giving me trouble. My arm starts to tingle and get week and if it gets really bad can cause a few words to be said wrong. Usually if someone massages it or hot water can help. I have knotsin shoulder and neck when this happens. Could it be a pinched nerve?

Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis pinched nerve

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Yes, it is mostly a pinched nerve at the back of the neck near the spine associated with a condition called Cervical spondylosis.

Avoid bending neck forward or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the affected region. Take Tablet Diclofenac with Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days. Take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg twice a day for a month. Avoid using thick pillow.

Do upload Xray of your Cervical spine if you have one.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
