Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Boils can be most likely due to bacterial infections. Incision and draining of wound will be needed in most cases. Antibiotic therapy will be needed also.

You can dress it with betadine ointment and glycerine magsulf which might help in draining of puss. Wound should be cleaned and dressed daily till it become clean wound. Taking chewable vitamin c will be helpful for faster healing also.

If no improvement then approach your doctor for proper drainage of wound and for antibiotic therapy.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.

Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

You can wash the area with saline and apply betadine ointment and glycerine magsulf. You can take a gauze piece and put the mixture of betadine ointment and glycerine magsulf and apply. Put again a gauze piece above. You can stick it with a tape and put your under wear above.

Dressing with both medicine should be done till wound is clean. When wound become clean you can just apply betadine ointment alone.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.

I have gone through your links. You can apply those. Puss could be inside which makes look big. Applying betadine and glycerin magsulf will help it to rupture and drain the pusswhich helps in healing.

If it not draining and the boil getting bigger or more paipainful, incision and drainage should be done. Antibiotic therapy will be needed also. You have to consult your GP in such case.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.

Thank you for your follow up.

You can get betadine ointment and glycerine magsulf in all pharmacy. It is better to go to hospital and consult a doctor if possible. Continuous bleeding is a sign of infection. Proper drainage and antibiotic therapy will help in early healing. But if difficult to go to hospital then you can try dress with both medications is mentioned.

Puss is infected unviable debris which form inside boil. Antibiotic therapy means treating with broad spectrum antibiotics like ciprofloxacin.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
