Brief Answer:
Possible deep vein thrombosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

Do you have any area which is red and hot to touch in your calf?
Do you have varicose veins?
Have you ever had problems with deep vein thrombosis?
Do you have any chronic condition or medications you are taking?
Did you tried anything else except the iceing of the calf?

It may be muscular but since you are describing swelling too, it may be also a deep vein thrombosis which may be dangerous if we don't treat.
Is the swelling in the calf or in the ankle?

Please provide this information to me and I will be happy to advise accordingly.

Looking forward to your follow up question.

Regards,
Dr.Papaqako

Brief Answer:
Swelling in the calf suggests deep vein thrombosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

None of the medicines gives the deep vein thromboses.

The swelling and its location worries me, because its typical for deep vein thromboses, and we don't want to neglect that.

So I would say, in case it is not better by now or if worse, you need to go to the ER and consider doing an ultrasound of the veins of the leg and check for thromboses.

Hope this is helpful.
