Answer few questions

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, a dermatologist.
I have reviewed the attached photographs and need to ask you few questions:
Are these spots associated with itching, burning or any other symptoms?
Were these spots red prior to changing colour to white?
Is their surface smooth or showing dryness or scaling?
Is their any history of exposure to sun?
What is the duration of these spots?
Are these stationary or spreading?
Kindly revert with the answers.
Regards
Dr Asmeet

Hi,

These spots were both white before the one on my face changed to red. They are dry skin and do have a different texture than the rest of my skin. They are a little itchy but not too bad. I do have a history of sun exposure in both of these places. I have had them for about 2 weeks. They appear to be stationary.

Brief Answer:
Photosensitive rash, cortisone cream, sunscreen & antihistaminic tablet

Detailed Answer:
Hi

According to your complaints and looking at the pictures you seem to have developed a photosensitive rash due to sun exposure.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on these spots twice daily along with application of a broad spectrum sunscreen on the entire face and neck at intervals of 3-4 hours during the day time for 10-14 days.
For itching I recommend my patients to take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.
Besides this avoid direct sunlight and make use of umbrella, sunglasses and scarf whenever out in the sun.

Regards
Dr Asmeet
