Suggest Treatment For Staphylococcus Haemolyticus Infection

Question: I was infected by Staphylococcus haemolyticus in semen. Amikacin was used to treat my disease for 10 days (about 14 tubes) but I was still not recovered. Doctors, please give me advices

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been detected to have Staphylococcal Haemolyticus infection of semen and have been taking Inj Amikacin for 10 days but did not get results.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) have you done semen culture and what was th sensitivity pattern?

Staphylococcal infection is very difficult to get cured as most of the time the organisms are are resistant to commonly used antibiotics ,

Vancomycin in combination with Rifampicin is supposed to be highly sensitive to treat the Staphylococcus Haemolticus infection.

Please get the prescription of drugs from your family physician.

Dear doctors,
I have attached semen cuture test and another semen test. It indicated that amikacin is sensible.
Since I have used amikacin for 14 tubes (inject 500mg/day), I wonder whether the dosage of amikacin is used enough or not
Vancomycin is not popular and dificult to get in my country. Amikacin and Linezolid is common in hospital.

Staphylococcus Infection takes long time to get cured hence you will have to take antibiotics for 4-6 weeks. 500 mg twice daily is the proper dose of Amikacin

Vancomycin is the drug of choice in resistant cases and should be available in your country.

My doctor still indicates amikacin for my treatment for 1 more week. He gave me a prescription including arginin 1g and surbex z to take (no need to inject antibiotic) . After taking these drugs for 2 weeks, I will see him again.
I'm still worrying about my disease and the resistant of antibiotic if I stop using them for 2 weeks
Please give me advice, doctor
